Base Pair is the Bioinformatics Research Center (BRC) Student Council, representing students across the BRC and focusing on center-specific student interests, goals, and events. Working alongside the Bioinformatics Graduate Student Association (BGSA), Base Pair provides a voice for BRC students across disciplines and helps strengthen connections within the center.

Through industry engagement, outreach, student advocacy, and community-building, Base Pair creates opportunities for students to connect with one another and the broader bioinformatics community. Activities may include networking events, company visits, alumni panels, research showcases, and cross-disciplinary journal clubs.
