BGSA (Bioinformatics Graduate Student Association)

Connecting and supporting graduate students across NC State’s bioinformatics community.

The Bioinformatics Graduate Student Association (BGSA) supports graduate students in NC State’s Genomic Sciences program by fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and engaging community. Representing students pursuing master’s and doctoral degrees in bioinformatics, BGSA serves as a connection between students, faculty, and university leadership while advocating for student interests.

Through professional development opportunities, academic events, social gatherings, and community outreach, BGSA encourages collaboration and strengthens connections within the Genomic Sciences program. The organization also partners with campus-wide graduate student groups to promote interdisciplinary engagement, leadership, and service across the university.
