Keynote Speakers:
Dr. Chirag Patel

Dr. Chirag Patel is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School whose research focuses on using computational and bioinformatics approaches to better understand human health and disease.
As a keynote speaker for the 2026 Environmental Data Sciences Symposium, Dr. Patel will present “Advances in Phenome-Wide Association: Integrating The Proteome And Exposome,” highlighting approaches for using large and complex datasets to advance our understanding of human health.
Dr. Katie Paul Friedman

Dr. Katie Paul Friedman will explore how data science and toxicology are transforming chemical safety evaluation through the use of complex data to inform efficient approaches to evaluating chemical safety.
As a keynote speaker for the 2026 Environmental Data Sciences Symposium, Dr. Paul-Friedman will present “Using Data Science to Accelerate Chemical Safety Decisions,” demonstrating the impact that data science can have on the protection of people and the environment.
